Katherine Gonzalez

Katie Gonzalez is a past student editor at SHARIAsource, from her time in the Digital Islamic Law Lab at Harvard Law School. At Harvard, Katie was also an editor for the Civil Rights-Civil Liberties Law Review, a research assistant for Professor Intisar Rabb and the Program in Islamic Law, and co-Director of the International Refugee Assistance Project. She was also named a Salzburg Cutler Fellow in International Law.
 
Prior to attending Harvard Law School, Katie worked at Mada al-Carmel—Arab Center for Applied Social Research, a non-governmental organization that focuses on the rights of Palestinian citizens, in Haifa, Israel. Katie received her B.A. in Government and Middle Eastern Studies from Dartmouth College, where she graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. Her senior honors thesis investigating the rights and roles of women in the anti-colonial struggles of Algeria and Palestine was awarded the Wing Tsit-Chan Prize for best departmental thesis. Katie Gonzalez graduated from Harvard Law School in 2017.
