This qanun regulates the formation and composition of Bank Aceh Syariah. Among other things, the qanun states that the bank is domiciled in Banda Aceh, is based on the principles of Islam, and its shareholders are the Acehnese Government (which holds at least 51 per cent of the shares), PT. Bank Aceh, Acehnese regency/municipal governments, and other shareholders.
