This is a reference to Jaʿfar al-Ṣādiq leaving Medina and avoiding support for the revolt of Muḥammad b. ʿAbd Allāh al-Nafs al-Zakiyya. Hossein Modarressi cites this reference in his discussion of some of the features of al-Ṣādiq's political stance.
