Indonesian Council of Ulama Fatwa No. 4 of 2009 on Occupational Clothing for Female Medical Personnel

This fatwa defines the aurat as the entire body, except for the face and palms of the hands. It states that female medical personnel may expose the area from their hands to their elbows if an urgent medical-related need exists. In addition, the fatwa states that occupational clothing must be made from non-transparent material and not show the shape of the body.
