This statute is the second revision of Law No. 2 of 1986 on the Civil Judiciary, as already amended by Law No. 8 of 2004. It regulates the conduct, ethics, and selection criteria, of the judiciary and court support staff.

This statute is the first revision of Law No. 2 of 1986 on the Civil Judiciary. It provides formulaic amendments to the statute, dealing with the civil judiciary and its support staff. For the second revision, see Law No. 49 of 2009.

This statute regulates the Indonesian civil judiciary, its composition and support staff. It was subsequently amended on two occasions by Law No. 8 of 2004 and Law No. 49 of 2009.

This government regulation was drafted following the promulgation of Law No. 3 of 1992 on Social Security, as a way to regulate the implementation of social security, and the implementing body assigned therein.

This statute regulates stamp duty (bea meterai), replacing the old Dutch Stamp Duty Ordinance (Zegelveordening 1921). It specifies the documents that require a stamp duty seal, and those that do not.

This government regulation regulates the marriage and divorce process, requirements, and financial implications thereof, for Indonesian civil servants.

This statute regulates state shari'a securities (Surat Berharga Syariah Negara - SBSN), as well as the companies that issue them, and the utilisation of state-owned assets therein. It defines a state shari'a security as a state security issued pursuant to shari'a principles, as partial evidence of the inclusion of state shari'a security assets, both in rupiah and foreign currencies.

This fatwa acknowledges that shari'a financial institutions accumulate funds through savings, deposits, and account transfers, pursuant to shari'a-friendly contracts. Moreover, that in order to attract the public's interest in their products, shari'a financial institutions offer their customers rewards as promotions, as well as for customer loyalty. The fatwa concludes that promotional rewards may be an item or a service, but not a sum of a money. That item or service must be halal. The shari'a financial institution may set conditions vis-a-vis receipt of the reward, provided those conditions are not interest-bearing. Should the recipient breach these conditions, they are required to return the reward. Rewards are also not permitted if they are for the personal gain of an employee of the relevant financial institution, have the potential to be deemed a bribe, and/or are covertly interest-bearing.

This Supreme Court circular clarifies that the absence of the opposing party in a case does not preclude any court in Indonesia from handing down judgment.

This statute regulates the administration and documentation of key events relating to the Indonesian population, including births, deaths, marriage, divorce, court decisions, change of address, and change of name and status.

This government regulation makes several amendments to Government Regulation No. 10 of 1983 on Permission to Marry and Divorce for Civil Servants. The amendments do not effect any significant change but, as the regulation states, are designed to provide greater legal certainty and sense of justice.

This government regulation defines the regulation of civil servant discipline as regulating obligations, prohibitions and sanctions relevant in the event a civil servant fails to abide by an obligation, or contravenes a prohibition. The regulation focuses particularly on the abuse of authority and position as a civil servant, and the negative impact it can have on the dignity of the state.

The appellants sought to challenge Giri Menang Religious Court Decision No. 207 of 2013, which had ordered them to transfer to the respondents the respondents' share of the estate of Amaq and Inaq Sidin (deceased). The appellants based their appeal on several grounds:

1. that the respondents' initial claim had failed to include certain relevant parties in their claim, as was revealed by the evidence provided by certain witnesses, and that those relevant parties were then inserted into the claim by the lower court;
2. that the lower court's decision lacked a legal foundation, and that its decision had exceeded the parameters of the plaintiffs' claim;
3. that the lower court had erred in stipulating certain information relating to the dimensions of the land in dispute;
4. that the lower court had ignored documents submitted by the appellants regarding a certain portion of the land in dispute; and
5. that the lower court had included the incorrect boundaries of the land in dispute, in terms of a local inspection.

In dismissing the appeal, the court found that ground 1 was insufficient as the parties the appellants claimed had not been included were not beneficiaries (ahli waris) for the purposes of art 171(c) of the Compilation of Islamic Laws, and moreover, those parties had not been joined as parties to the claim by the lower court. The court found that the appellants had failed to establish ground 2, but conceded the appellants were correct in regards to ground 3. The court held, however, that it could simply amend the clerical errors raised in ground 3. Finally, the court dismissed ground 4, stating it had been acknowledged in the lower court's decision.

This government regulation dictates that land registration is coordinated and implemented at the village (desa) level. It regulates the registration of land, as well as the registration of rights contained therein, including: land rights/entitlements; the transfer, abolition and registration of obligations pursuant to land ownership; the issuing of deeds of title; and costs associated with registration of land.

For the purpose of land reform, this government regulation regulates, among other things:

1. the distribution of land;
2. the provision of damages to former owners of land;
3. the provision of land rights and conditions;
4. the stipulation of land prices for new property owners;
5. land reform funding; and
6. agricultural cooperatives.

The purpose of this Supreme Court Circular is to create uniformity in powers of attorney submitted by litigants to judicial bodies. In civil cases, powers of attorney submitted must clearly state, and distinguish between, the plaintiff(s) and defendant(s). Meanwhile, in criminal cases, powers of attorney must state the sections of the Criminal Procedure Code (Kitab Undang-Undang Hukum Acara Pidana) pursuant to which the accused is being sued.

In the even a case is escalated to the appeal or cassation level, a new power of attorney is not required.

This statute regulates the Indonesian legal profession, covering such areas as:

1. the appointment, status, conduct, disbarring/retirement, and monitoring of advocates;
2. the swearing of the oath;
3. lawyers' code of ethics, and bar council;
4. lawyers' rights and obligations;
5. the provision of legal aid; and
6. the employment of foreign legal advocates.

This status update derives from Indonesian Constitutional Court decision MK Nomor 101/PUU-VII/2009 (30 December 2009), where the Court found that art 4(1) of Law No. 18 of 2003 conflicted with the 1945 Constitution (Undang-Undang Dasar Negara Republik Indonesia Tahun 1945). Specifically, the Court found that the section had no legally binding authority if the phrase 'in an open session of a High Court in a legal jurisdiction' ('di sidang terbuka Pengadilan Tinggi di wilayah didomisili hukumnya') was not met. Moreover, this phrase was not to be interpreted as 'a High Court, pursuant to a legal order, shall swear an oath for advocates before they join the profession, without associating with the membership of the Organisation of Advocates which, de facto, exists at this moment, in the two years from when these findings are pronounced.'

This statute streamlines, unifies, and regulates, the Indonesian religious (Islamic) courts and officials. It was subsequently amended by Law No. 3 of 2006 and Law No. 50 of 2009.

This statute regulates the judicial appeals process. While it does not expressly deal with religious court decisions and the appeals process therein, it is referenced in some religious court appeals decisions.
