Kendari Religious Court Decision No. 295 of 2014

The parties were married on 7 January 2011 but had no children. Only a day after their nuptials, a woman by the name of Asfarni visited the parties' home claiming to be the defendant's unofficial wife (istri siri). The parties later separated on 23 January 2011, and the plaintiff believed that divorce was the only feasible option.

The court, however, dismissed the plaintiff's application on the grounds that she had provided it with the incorrect address of the defendant, thereby making it impossible to summons the defendant. The court ordered the plaintiff to pay costs (IDR 501,000).
