The appellant sought to challenge the decision of the Takengon Shari'a Court, which had found the appellant to be an unsuitable opponent.
The Court concurred with the decision of the lower court. It noted that marriage is not any ordinary agreement to live as husband and wife, but a holy agreement, which, if ended, may not be measured by the mistakes of one of the parties.
