Meulaboh Shari'a Court Decision No. 22 of 2009: Alcohol Possession Sentence Commuted

The court found the defendant (a Buddhist) guilty of being in possession of a merchantable quantity of alcohol, and sentenced him to one year imprisonment. The sentence was commuted given the defendant's good conduct in court, as well as the fact that he was his family's primary financial contributor.
