DeSantis v. Wackenhut Corp., 793 S.W.2d 670, 680 (Tex. 1990): Public policy and rules governing non-competition

In reversing the lower court's judgment, the Texas Supreme Court ruled that while rules governing enforcement of non-competition agreements in Texas were a matter of public policy, the mere fact that another state's law was materially different from that of Texas did not in and of itself constitute sufficient reason to bar the application of that state's laws on public policy grounds.
