The two accused were accused of gambling (maisir), contrary to arts 5 and 23(1) of Qanun No. 13 of 2003 on Gambling, in conjunction with art 55 of the Indonesian Criminal Code (Kitab Undang-Undang Hukum Pidana). As the prosecution had never met with the accused, however, the court did not consider the prosecution's application to be serious and, therefore, dismissed it.
