Indonesian Law No. 6 of 1974 on Social Welfare Principles

This statute entitles all Indonesian citizens to the best level of social welfare possible. It also obliges Indonesian citizens to, as much as possible, participate in social welfare initiatives. The statute states, in its elucidation, that social welfare is a broad and complex field that covers, among other things, education, health, religion, work personnel, and social welfare (per its narrow meaning).
