Mohammad Sagha

Mohammad Sagha is a PhD Candidate at the University of Chicago in the Department of Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations. His research interests lie in early Shiʿism, social network analysis, northern Iranian dynasties post-Muslim conquest, and late Ummayad/early Abbasid-era intellectual and social movements. He previously held positions as an exchange scholar at Harvard's Center for Middle Eastern Studies, where he conducted research under the supervision of Professor Roy Mottahedeh on the Zaydi Imamate in Iran’s Caspian region and the politico-military organization of the Buyid and Ziyarid dynasties. He also directs the Shiʿi Studies Group at the University of Chicago.
